Stuff!

Not much going on around here. I've managed to /thoroughly/ screw up my normal sleep cycle, though. I'm much more comfortable being nocturnal, so when I don't remember to set my alarm clock, everything slips in that direction. On one hand, I'm happier this way. On the other, no one else is, and it makes it more difficult to get things, well, done.

I believe that I've decided to go back to college. Not for a Master's, yet, but for another Bachelor's degree. I'm thinking Computer Science. I think it'd be interesting, and the job market around here is just dead, dead, dead. But if I think any more about that, I'll become depressed. :)

Still reading over my new IN books (Superiors 1 and the Liber Reliq). I like them lots, although the Enchantment rules make me whimper like a puppy. Ahhh, well. I'm really, really enjoying the extended writeups on Dominic and Laurence, though.

Ideas are percolating through my brain, again. I /believe/ one or two of them might even coalesce into something that can be used. Hmmmmm.

Yes, well, complex rules.

Take the enchantment rules and pitch them out; only Creationers and Superiors and high level NPC Word-bound can make things. Then use the costing procedure in the quick and dirty thingy box.

There, problem solved, right?

That'll probably be what I'll end up doing if it ever comes up in my campaign. Or just fiddle around with them (because I can't resist the urge to tinker) until I find a Frankenstienesque monstrosity that makes me happy. ;p

To be honest, I /like/ most of the rules as they are. Just the time period for Human Enchanters and Celestial Artifacts makes me, personally, whimper because my Human character is trying to pick up Enchantment. But the Alchemy rules provide 'one-shot' artifacts that are cool, too, and much less painful. :)
