[In Nomine] Media Servitor Attunement

Earworm
With a successful Will roll, a Servitor of the Media can embed a short message in a hummed rendition of a song, specifying a target to recieve the message. The target must be someone the demon knows. When they hum the song in the presence of others, the message becomes viral. Anyone hearing it has to make a Will roll (-2 if it's a tune the hearer knows, whether they like it or not), and if they fail, the carriers will hum the tune incessantly, no matter how hard they try to stop it, until they infect someone else. The earworm's propogation will continue until the song reaches the intended target, or days equal to the demon's Corporeal Forces have passed. The intended target will hear and understand the message, and know from whom it originated. Celestials, with their instinctive connection to musical themes, are especially vulnerable to this attunement: they take a penalty equal to their Celestial Forces to try and avoid catching the tune.

This sounded familiar enough that I went and dug out my copy of Superiors 2. It's similar to Jingle (from p.96 of that book), but with enough differences that it's not gratuitous and should probably be posted to the [livejournal.com profile] innomine community.

Oh, and rar! ^_^
