FAIR!

The State Fair starts in 19 days! How could I have forgotten?? Augh. Must go. Must go with people!

Hey, anyone wanna come down for an evening at the fair? :) Or a weekend? I will happily host, as long as people don't mind sleeping on the floor. It starts the weekend of the Halloween party, sadly, but continues through the next weekend, so even if I end up going to the party, the next week would still be good.

Also, Serenity will likely still be out in theaters at that time, soooooooo. It could be an entire weekend filled with fun!

Mmmm, funnel cake! Funnel cakes are my terribly unhealthy fair food of choice! Hot, covered in powdered sugar and cinnamon. MmmmMMMMm.

Ooh never had them with anything but powdered sugar on top. The cinnamon sounds good.

Hmmm wonder how powdered coco would go on a funnel cake.

The ones at the Fair, you can typically get with: powdered sugar, cinnamon, chocolate syrup, or (I think) some other kind of syrup. Myself, I'd be interested in trying honey on one, but I don't like the chocolate syrup.

Mmmm maple syrup.
Rar now I'm craving that too.

In my home town we had a maple festival in the spring. More maple candy than you can stake a stick at. Best part of the whole thing though was the sugar house. This is the place where they boil the sap down to make syrup. Picture comming in from cold wet weather to a maple scented sauna. Heven I tell you.

I have a small bottle of pure maple syrup! I haven't used much because me and pancakes have problems with each other (namely, I can't make them worth a damn).

That sounds really good, indeed!

Maplemaple?

They burn! And then they are black and chewy, and I am sad.

Yuck. Black AND chewy, not good. If mine go bad, it is usually that they are too liquidy, and I have pancake-flavored piles of goo.

I will make an effort to make good pancakes when you come out, if you bring your maple syrup to cheer Chris.
