Oh, god, yes. I've been on two rides like that. One was called...hmm, Snake Eyes or something dice related. You sit in a cage, which trundles on a track shaped like an oblong O, while the track itself rotated. The blasted thing was like being caught in a washing machine, and not in a good way!
The other was the Kamikazi ride, which normally I like. Except that this one year, it had been raining, and the ride felt...shuddery and creaky and just /wrong/. I spent the entire few minutes of the ride utterly convinced that it was going to come apart.
