On one hand, I had a /very/ good scene on B&S, tonight. Actually, two very good scenes. Things were Discovered (oh, boy, were things discovered), people were Caught Up, and there were enough ludicrous situations along the way to keep things from getting too angsty or dark. Two Creationers faking sex wasn't even the highlight of the evening! It did come close, though...
On the other hand, I am so very, very frustrated with another player. It's my own fault, I know this, I should just refuse to discuss any of the issues that will lead to me banging my head on the desk. But I'm an arguer. I always have been; I was on the debate team in high school, for heaven's sake. But you can't debate with someone who Just Doesn't Get It. Any of it. I've known hardcore, Jack Chick reading, Southern Baptists that I've had more fufilling and enjoyable conversations with. *sigh* Bah.
On one hand, we're getting cable modem installed today! Hopefully. Yay! It will be good, and I will be able to get rid of AOL, and I'll be able to download anime episodes (so nyah,
solaas!) ;p And things will be good.
On the other, I just know that getting the modem installed, and the wireless network set up is going to be a huge pain, and I'm going to want to smite someone before it's over. This is the way all tech issues go in this house, even something as simple as setting up the DVD. So...yeah.
On one hand, the anime club starts up tonight! Yay for anime, and even more yay for getting to see the friends that I haven't been able to talk to for months.
On the other, I still have no car. I'm borrowing a car to get to the meeting, but my attendance will be...patchy at best until that issue is resolved.
On one hand, I just got my acceptance letter in from USC. Not that there was much doubt, that's where I originally graduated from, and I did it with a 3.4 final GPA. There's no reason for them not to accept me. But it still made a little pleased glow in my heart. And the idea of going back to college really makes me happy.
On the other, it's more paperwork. And, inevitably, more debt.
Totalling everything...the Ups have it, at the moment. I feel pretty good about life in general, and my life in specific. And if I'm a little stressed, well, this too shall pass.
