Didn't go to anime club. A car wasn't available to borrow until after the meeting had already started, and it would have taken forty minutes to drive down there, anyway. I /did/ get out of the house, though! Took the car, went down to the mall, bought a book, ate dinner (mmmmm, crab rangoon), rented an anime DVD from Blockbuster (Voices from a Distant Star. It looks interesting.) and bought some Jelly Bellies. Then I came home and sacked out for seven hours or so. I feel better.
I still want my car back.
Also, I can now recommend 'The Bone Doll's Twin' to my friends, because the sequel is /finally/ out. I haven't started on it, yet, but seeing it on the shelf made my day. 'The Bone Doll's Twin' is dark, slightly twisted fantasy, and a darn good read, but it ended on a /nasty/ cliffhanger, so I held off shilling it until I was sure that there would be a second book. Anyway, 'Hidden Warrior' is out, so go forth and read!
Just woke up from an extremely unpleasant dream. Started off anime style, a futuristic police force, in which I was a detective. I had a generic male partner, and a generic male rookie assigned to us. In this world, fairy tales were real, and people could try and act them out (finding the fish of wishes, the old woman who rewards kindness with magical gifts, etc.), but that was a side point. No, what was important was that there was a serial sniper on the loose, who was apparently stalking our little group. Graphically, too. I don't like dreams where I see people's head explode. They make me unhappy.
Feh. We got him, though. Towards the end of the dream, after he'd killed the rookie and wounded me, my partner blew him away. Yay for the good guys.
