Right.
So we pick up with the Bad Guy, and interrogate him, magically. We discover what we had pretty much thought all along...namely, that one of the other PCs in the group had been cheerfully selling us out for the reward money for the last four or five game sessions. Did I mention that one of our party members has the flaw 'Vindictive'? So, one guy sneaks up and whacks the PC over the head, and he wakes up tied on the ground. We interrogate him magically, discover that we have no reason to keep the guy alive, and our Vindictive PC goes up to blow his brains out.
OOCly, the player invokes Hand of God. Essentially, you get a one-shot chance to escape certain death, by burning up all your Karma and Karma Pool. ICly, the shaman we're travelling with hurries up and declares that we can't kill him; he is destined to save all our lives. And the PC is babbling about how he's turned over a new leaf and will never, ever do anything bad to us again.
Unfortunately, part of his new leaf appears to be...becoming a pacifist. Or, rather, the conscience of the party. Quote time!
PC: "I've turned over a new leaf! I'm a new man!"
GM: "So, how does this fit in with your character being a sniper?"
PC: (with no hesitation at all) "Self-defense!"
Right. So, it's even odds if our characters will get annoyed enough to kill him again before we save the world.
