I love my books.
I have four bookcases: two 'large' ones (those are the kind you can sort of see in the pic), and two smaller ones. Even the large ones aren't very large, though, so all of them are full, and I still have stacks of books on the table and floor.
I have mostly fantasy novels. I also have quite a few science-fiction books, comic books, mysteries (I adore good, quirky mysteries), horror novels, and cheezy romances. I have a lot of cheezy romances. They're short, and not at all complicated, so you can take them anywhere. Read a couple of pages while you're waiting for something, then put them away, and there's no chance you're going to forget some crucial plot-piece or character name. And I'm a sucker for a good, romantic story.
Also, I had an idea for a reality show. Remember those 'mystery trips' that used to be popular? You'd go on a train or a cruise ship, and during the trip, someone would be 'murdered', and you'd could explore the mystery, and the people who solved it got a prize? Adapt it for TV. Take your contestants, put them in the location (somewhere suitably exotic to get the Envy Factor up), and have a mystery. Those who solve the mystery correctly get the prize money divided up between them. Have clues spread around, and certain events staged for people at specific place/times (overhearing an argument, seeing a suspicious scene out a window, etc.)
Now, that leaves the central problem: if you don't cooperate, you'll have less information to solve the mystery. If you /do/ cooperate, you're giving information to your competitors, and your share of the money is less. And the viewers could play along, although they'd have a lot more of the information than any of the contestants...therefore they're likely to get farther in solving the mystery, and feel smarter. Feeling smarter than the poor shlubs on the TV seems to be an important component of Reality TV success.
