Had a lovely time at Shadowrun, although I'll admit that tonight we spent more time on off topic rambles about various interesting things (including Fun Tricks With Electricity, the cartoons in porn magazines, Neverwinter Nights, and Disney/Pixar comparisons) than we did in addressing the problem. Which is at least partially because the problem is huge. Our dragon patron has been possessed by a Bad Guy! A really powerful bad guy that we couldn't even defeat when it was on its own. *whimpers pitifully* It should prove to be much fun (although fatal, since my character's the one with the job of 'if all else fails, walk up to it and hit it').

After we finish up this campaign, it'll be my turn to GM again, and we're going to do In Nomine. I've thought about starting them out on a cross-world chase to track down the NC prototype (the events will happen in a different manner than canon, I think), so I may encourage them to go for Lightning/Creation/Dreams/Wind types. And yes, it's likely to be an action/adventure sort of campaign. We're fond of our tabletop games going light and funny, instead of deeply serious.

On the grouchy side, I have discovered that RoadRunner doesn't /like/ attachments bigger than 2 MB. I can recieve attachments bigger than that, but not send them. And ICQ and my firewall do not get along. So I am Unhappy about that. Stupid webmail.
You may sing, if you like.

I'm up a little too early, mostly because I haven't gone to sleep. Bad me. I'll probably pass out shortly, though.

I just reread 'Eyes of the Dragon' and it's interesting to see how the ground work for the Dark Tower series is laid out in it. It almost reads like a trial run for The Gunslinger. King Roland, dwelling in Delain, in a place that waited for the coming of the White, although it knew it not. Flagg, although a younger, more obviously fallable version than the one found in the Stand, and in the later books. This Flagg, although still old and dark, has a bit more humanity to him, I think.

Minor spoilers for 'Eyes of the Dragon' )
