In the wider world, we now can't use 'blue roses' as a term for something impossible: They exist.
On a personal level, I start school on Tuesday, and I've been accepted for a Graduate Assistantship down at the school. I'm actually working for an associate Dean of the department, grading papers and answering e-mail for one of his classes. It'll be twenty hours a week, and I get a pretty good deal in return. It's only for a month, but I figure that if I make a good impression, maybe he'll need someone for fall, or know someone who does and put a good word in for me.
Also, today's Queen of Wands brings back terrible memories of job hunting.
