In the CR, it mentions that Singing may help with some Song performances, but gives no details. Liber Canticorum /seems/ to indicate that it helps with Choral performances but nothing else. I've thought about this, and decided that I wanted to change it up a bit, and perhaps use a Singing/Song house rule in my game. I'll throw the idea out here for thoughts.

Harmonizing

Singing can be used to boost the target numbers of Songs that the character knows. The character must spend a round actually /singing/ the Song, enthusiastic humming does not count, and this applies even if they could normally invoke it with a thought. If the Singing roll is successful, they gain a bonus to the TN of the performance roll equal to either the CD or the number of the performer's Forces in the Song's realm, whichever is lower. If they fail the Singing roll, the TN is /reduced/ by the CD of the failure, as the character's attempt at harmonizing with the Song goes awry.

Singing in Concert

Slightly different from Choral performances, this allows a group of individuals who know all know the same Song to 'boost' one person's performance of that Song. All must sing out loud, at the same time, on the same harmony. One character is the designated target of the Concert...only he will make a performance roll or spend Essence to power the Song. However, for every one of his cohorts who are successful in making their Singing roll, he gains a +1 to the CD of the Song. A Concert can be held for several rounds, with Singing rolls made each round for cumulative bonuses, however; no character can contribute a bonus higher than their level in the Song, and any character who fails a Singing roll (or is rendered unable to sing) is taken out of the Concert, along with any cumulative bonuses. Backup singers cannot spend Essence on their Singing rolls or cause other forms of Disturbance, as this ruins the delicate balance of harmony and melody required for the Concert.

The bright side:

I am alone in the office with nothing pressing to attend to, and get to leave in thirty minutes.

The down side:

I am alone in the office without a key, and if I leave to use the restroom, I won't be able to get back in.
