Have had a lovely evening. Spent it with a friend, drinking, singing along to beautifully-sung celtic music (along with some American classics), and talking with the musician, who is a wonderful, funny, and very nice guy. However, my ongoing experiment on what it takes to get me drunk remains inconclusive...clearly, two large glasses of something that has vodka and tastes like vanilla ice cream is not capable of doing it. I don't even feel buzzed. But, still happy! Lots and lots of fun.
Oh, and anyone in the SE who likes Irish music, check out JJ Smith if he comes into your area. He's a great showman and musician, and a real nice guy.

cpip and
amethystjade, I got to hear one verse of 'MacIntyre' sung! Sadly, it wasn't a part of his regular repetoire, so he doesn't know the whole song. But still, much fun.)
