Okay, as I was thinking over what I really /love/ about some systems, it's the games that have some sort of mechanic that provides both a systemic benefit, /and/ helps the player define a personality more explicitly. That gets me really excited. Things like UA's passions and obsessions, for example.
So, I've been thinking about such a mechanic in chargen for Alchemy characters. I'm thinking that it'll be related to elementalism...that's not something that I've really had a chance to touch on much elsewhere in the system, but is a part of alchemical legends. So, possibly have a list of traits and aptitudes for each 'elemental' nature, and players can select one for their characters, to give them a guide in personality development, and a minor boost in things related to that elemental nature.
