So, over the week, I went down to Charleston to visit some friends and have much fun. And much fun was had! We walked through the downtown Market, visited the beach, watched a movie and some anime, talked, played games, ate food, and generally had glee and happiness. (S! A. does not have your new number. Call her!)

Then, today, I finally got around to visiting Saluda Shoals Park. It's /beautiful/, and quiet, and clean. I walked about two miles, and picked up a park activities guide. They have horseback riding, kayaking, and canoeing...I may end up taking one of the kayak clinics, so I can learn how to use one of those things, then rent them out from the park. The sessions for riding and kayak lessons are kind of expensive, but I need the exercise, and it looks like a lot of fun, anyway. I think that I'm going to try and get down there more often. The park is open until sunset, which, since it's summer, means that it's open for quite a while, and I bet that the weekdays are even quieter than the weekends.

Also, I saw a turtle!
