Psychic Repairmen and Other Things.

So, first. Ryzom! fadethecat got on with me last night, and I was able to try a couple of experiments that I'd been wondering about. And they were successes! Ryzom allows cooperative resource gathering! You can prospect for other people, and even though they harvest from the node, you still get experience. Additionally, two people (or perhaps even more!) can work on one node, with one person harvesting and the other doing a support action so that the node isn't destroyed or blown up. So, if you wanted to have a team effort, you could have one person specialized in harvesting and the other specialized in foraging/nodecare, and absolutely clean up.

Second, when I came home yesterday, the A/C was out, but it was too late to call the repair guys, so I just sweltered sadly. This morning, I called as soon as the office opened, and as I was telling her where I lived, I got, "Oh, that's already been reported. Someone should be by this morning."

...who reported it? It wasn't me! And yet she said it was reported last night. It's like there are psychic ninja repair fairies going around making underpaid graduate assistants' lives easier. Well...bless you, little ninja fairy, bless you.
