Welcome to 'News at Seven', a completely automated virtual news program.
The program scans the web, collects news stories, parses and collates them, then creates a short news broadcast based on the data, including quotes from blogs, and automatically finding and displaying appropriate images from the web. They appear to be using the Half-Life 2 engine for the display parts.
It's pretty freaky. Not because of the potential threat to our human newscasters, but because of the other potential utilities of an aware information-gathering system like this.
I find it utterly fascinating.
