Friday's game went very well! It was a lot of fun, and we ended on a cliffhanger in the middle of combat (with ghouls and large undead wolves).
I bought bookshelves. I really should have held off until I got paid, but I'm so damned /tired/ of seeing my living room full of nothing but book boxes. So, the two large bookshelves will be delivered on Thursday afternoon, and they'll put them together. I'll unpack the rest of my books over the weekend and break down those boxes. After that, I should be able to buy a living room set at the end of October (September's pay will largely go towards rebuilding my money cushion. I do not /like/ living paycheck to paycheck). I've already seen a couple of sets that I like, and that look all manner of comfy, for a reasonable amount of money.
There is a spider attempting to live on the outside of my driver's side car door. It's a small, neon greenish-yellow one, I think a 'flower spider' or crab spider. I tried to take a picture of it while it glared at me, but my phone is not up to the task of photographing it. It is ultimately a futile endeavor, but I don't have the heart to flick it off. So, shine on, crazy spider, shine on.
EDIT: I accidentally squashed my spider. It tried to scurry into the sheltering underhang of my car door as I was closing said door, and I was not quick enough. :( I feel bad now.
I went by my workplace to try and grab something out of my office, and the key broke off in the lock, and I cut myself trying to pry out the teeth from the lock. So, no entry for /me/. I'll have to talk to our people on Monday.
