WHEE!

I have couch! It is large and red and dominates the living-room. I didn't realize quite how much it would do so until it was in there. BUT, it feels great, and I can stretch out full length comfortably on it, and now I can play video games, watch TV, and have guests without feeling like a pauper. Next thing on the list: coffee table.

Also, I am on winter vacation. I SLEPT IN. It was great. I am happy. And I went in to lunch at the new English-style pub, Ordes of England, and it was actually really good. (I was a bit skeptical.) And they even serve full English teas in the afternoon, if you want to get together some friends and go.

Finally, I did Christmas shopping. Not all of it, but I think I've now gotten about a fourth of it out of the way. Now, a toy for the kid, some things for my friends, and oven elements for my dad, and it'll be good.

I even did a little cleaning. ...not a lot, just a little.
