I cannot seem to get comfortable sleeping, lately. It's like, I toss and I turn, I'm too hot, I'm too cold, I've got a crick in my neck, parts are going numb, my mind won't settle...all of that at the same time, just changing off enough so that I can't get used to any of it.
BLAH.
Hopefully, will wrap up Southern Star in the next two or three weeks, provided we can get a full, or mostly full, group together. Starting to think about the demon one-shot. It will also be in Lovell, but PCs do not have to come from the town. Requirement will be one outstanding level 2 Geas to Rachel, Free Lilim of dubious intelligence but Virtuoso Motion. So, if you're interested, keep that in mind in your concept.
My IN forum game died. Woe for the Cherub of Stone concept, but it was fun while it lasted. I realized something not long ago...for the first time pretty much ever, all my characters are male. I usually don't cross-gender game, but this time I've ended up with three guys: Arik, Rollos, and Phineas.
Arik: Young Cherub of Stone with the role of a high school teacher and coach. Looks like a very stereotypical thug, usually wearing a scowl. Drives his boys into the ground, and tries to get them very involved with school culture and identifying with the school and each other rather than the gangs and slums they go home to. Idealistic, but gruff, and not terribly bright. Is two snakeskins to go for the Snakeskin Gang, and is quietly looking forward to it.
Phineas: Wizened of the Winter Court, the patchwork man. Abducted as a medical student by the Lady of Shattered Diamonds, he spent ten years in Arcadia as the Lady's personal 'doctor' and (more often) experiment in her quest for Perfect Beauty (for reference, however, the Lady's idea of beauty bears as much resemblance to typical human ideals as that of the Surgeon in Bioshock's Aphrodite). Fought his way free, finally, to find only three years had passed, and someone else was in his place. Is grumpy, obsessive, and sarcastic, but the prickles are mostly for show...his Virtue is Justice, and he'll exhaust himself on someone else's behalf, even as he curses and insults them for causing him so much trouble. Likes to threaten to poison people, to cover up for the fact that he's an absolute bloody wuss in a fight.
Rollos: Warhammer 40K character. A member of the planetary defense forces of Eras, now reassigned as a part of an Inquisitor's retinue. He's a hiver boy, too smart for his own good, but having become suddenly aware that the universe is much wider than the slums and gangs and mutants he's accustomed to. Has slight agoraphobia, and likes the ladies. Still working on his personality and interactions, though, since I've only had one session.
