I can haz sleep!

I feel so much better today. Still tired, because I have a pretty big sleep debt, but last night was /good/ sleep. I suspect that it's because of the rain; I woke up naturally and pleasantly about an hour before my alarm went off, and just listened to the rain pattering on the roof.

It's a good rain, too. Light, but constant, the kind of rain that soaks into the ground and makes you want to bake cookies and bask by a fire.

Also, Spore is more fun than it has any right to be. I made several mistakes with my first planet, and my creature was sad and noncompetative, but then I started over and did much better. As a side note to my IN fan friends: my Balseraphs showed up in my second world as the angry, angsty enemies of my Angelicus species...they could not be impressed. :P It was terribly appropriate.

In the tribal stage now. I have to say, I love the way that the creatures actually use their features even now; my critters are stealthy and have coiled spit-ball tails, and it's fun to watch them take on the world. It's a fun, nondemanding sort of RTS at this point, and one that is surprisingly addictive.

Finally, today is a busy busy day at work, but seems to be shaping up to go well.
