So, I took a nap. And promptly had some of the worst dreams of my life.

It started out with me walking to a funeral for an uncle who, to my knowledge, doesn't exist. Everyone else had brought gifts, but I hadn't remembered. And I had a gun underneath my coat...someone had made me take it, because they were worried about me. My mother was there, and she was dead, and screaming insane. My father was there, but he had an almost-clone who was evil, and they were talking and laughing together, and I knew the clone was going to hurt him, but I couldn't get him to believe me. And then this big party came, and swept me into this house. I was being bounced from person to person, and they were all huge and loud and rough. People were getting drunk and brawling all over the place, and somewhere I'd lost the coat with the gun in it and I /had/ to get it back. So I went exploring.

I came to this this submerged rock garden where water squirrels lived. I hoppped on the rocks, trying not to upset the squirrels, because when you did, they attacked. Eventually, I came to this part where there were birds of various types waiting for something in the water. There was a sign, that said they were fishing for snakes, and not to disturb them. There was a big silver snake curled around the sign. As I watched, a smaller, dark green snake slithered up from the water, and around the sign as well. A rock shifted under me, and I touched the very tip of the signpost for balance. The green snake instantly transferred itself to me, wrapping around my left hand and squeezing. It hurt, of course.

I staggered away, over the rocks, trying to get this damned snake off my hand. I ended up in a mouldering old museum, and found my best friend from childhood. I tried to get him to help, but he said that he didn't see a snake, and about that time, the pain increased tenfold. I looked to find the snake had found a small seam in the webbing between my thumb and forefinger, and had slithered itself inside, pulling the skin away from the flesh, and deforming my hand as it made a nest. And hurting. Oh, yes. I was oozing a strange, amber jelly instead of blood. The tail of the snake has spider legs, and they're the only things peeking out of the flesh (yes, I blame the spiderclock picture for that).

Screaming, I run back into the foyer, where the funeral is. Everyone's angry at me because I left the funeral to party, and although I try to explain and try to get help, no one will do anything. And one of them has my coat, and is playing with the gun, pointing it out his face and fiddling with the trigger. I'm trying to get the gun and my coat away from him, all the while being lectured by another nonexistant uncle about how it was useless to have a gun unless you were going to use it. Finally, I just grab my coat with my good hand, and stagger outside.

To see planets in the night's sky. One, a little bigger than the moon, was crimson with white bands; the other was more brown and dusty...I remember thinking that they were the most beautiful things I'd ever seen. Then they started to collide. It was terrible and gorgeous, and I remember my dreamself crying. Down the street, black magic cultists in purple and brown robes started coming towards me, talking about a sacrifice to stave off the apocalypse. I ran away, into a shower of fireworks. The sparks sizzled as they landed on my skin, and I could smell my skin burning.

It was about this time that my subconcious decided that things really /weren't/ going to get any better, and I woke up.
