I dreamed that I was watching a woman walk with an angel. Not an IN kind, but more the neo-classical tall, male figure with large, grey wings. They were on a path to somewhere good, but the path was partially submerged lengths of pipe, with deep, dark expanses of water all around them. It was hard to walk, and the paths were twisty and non-intuitive. The Angel was walking in front of the woman, and he didn't help her as she slipped and slided and tried to keep her balance. She finally asked him why we was here if he wasn't going to help. He replied that it was to keep her from running ahead of him and going too fast. He said that she wasn't ready to go that fast, and that she should slow down, and grow into what she already had. She replied that that wasn't fair and that he couldn't stop her from going as fast as she wanted.

Around that time, a horde of demons showed up (again, more the neo-classical type than IN), and traversed the path by simply leaping from one length of pipe to the other, in a straight line to the goal. Where they passed over the water, it became filthy with pollution and rotting weeds. The woman watched them enviously, then attempted to leap after them. She missed her goal, and slipped into the stinking waters. The demons ignored her, simply continuing along their way, but the Angel knelt down, and offered her his hand. "You cannot do the things they do, or you will fall. Be more careful, please. There's a reason the path isn't easy."

The woman took the Angel's hand, and he helped her out of the water, back on to the pipes, and then I woke up.
