I finally got around to watching the clip of Jon Stewart on Crossfire. First of all, not being a watcher of the Daily Show, he was far more reasoned and articulate than I'd ever given him credit for. /And/ he's funny, even when he's being serious. I have to say that I enjoyed watching it.

"I didn't realize that--and maybe this explains quite a bit--is that the news organizations look to Comedy Central for their cues on integrity." "But you can ask him a real question, don't you think, instead of saying..." "I don't think I have to. By the way, I also asked him, 'Were you in Cambodia?' But I didn't really care. [...] But my point is this. If your idea of confronting me is that I don't ask hard-hitting enough news questions, we're in bad shape, fellows."
(Transcript here, for anyone who wants to read but not watch. ^_^)

I didn't see it live, but we watched it with some friends who had downloaded it from iFilm. It was wonderful.
