Headslap Time (BG2)

After successfully completing a quest for the Order that Anomen is a fanboy devotee for, /AND/ at the personal behest of Anomen's own, dearly beloved, mentor and sponsor, Steelhead Wonderboy spouts off...

Anomen: I am barely convinced that honor even holds a place in this group. I shall see, AND JUDGE, for myself.

Anomen, you moron.

I have a feeling Cristobal will skewer Anomen.

He so very deserves it for a large part of the game.

Do you use any of the mods?

This time around I'm trying not to use many. All I'm using is a couple of the ease-of-use mods, the item upgrade mod, and the Improved Oasis mod for ToB, in order to make that encounter less pointlessly railroady. Often, I'll download special NPCs, etc, but this time through I'm trying to use all canon: Myself, Keldorn, Mazzy, Anomen, Jaheria, and Jan. Aside from Jaheria, they're all unusual NPCs for me...but they do quite well, I'm finding out. Mazzy, in particular, is nasty beyond all recognition with a shortbow.

Jan, however, has an incredibly depressing subquest. Even more than Keldorn's. It made me sad.

Ah, okay. I'm thinking of replaying it at some point. ...Anomen is annoying.

*nods*

Indeed he is. But he's the only canon romance object for a female character, so if I want that plot, I'm stuck humoring the self-righteous little twit.

I swear, though, if he doesn't get his Test soon, I'm going to stake him out for kobolds.

They seem to have issues with making likable canon romance objects. ...it's a Bioware game, right? That issue pops up too in Knights of the Old Republic.

You could mock him, something about you have seen and judged that he is only fit to be left for the kobolds.

I could, I could. He's just so darned /useful/ once he does the Test, though. And, of course, romance.

It's odd, though. As far as the guys go, both Jaheria and Viconia are /fairly/ likeable for romance objects, for their respective alignments and focuses. Aerie is...gah. A sweet girl, I guess, but has Anomen's same self-esteem issues, and just whines more than snarks. I'd rather take Viconia, any day.
