Whee!
First load of laundry done in the new apartment, and no disasters. Instead, warm, clean clothing for the next week. Go me, and all of that. (Yes, I'm domestically challenged. I have not made a practice of doing my own laundry, and I know that's horrible of me.) Rereading "Dead Witch Walking" which is a very good book. For some reason, I keep getting that and "Dime Store Magic" confused, despite the fact that the two stories are not really anything alike. For one, Dead Witch Walking is heavily AU, set in a history where in the sixties, a bioengineered virus killed a quarter of the world's population. Well. A quarter of the world's /human/ population. And all the elves. The rest of the supernatural creatures decided that since they were now even in population, they were going to come out of the shadows. Cut to the modern day, with faerie ghettos and supernaturals who bounty hunt others of their kind. It's a fun book.
