Happy Fourth of July, for all who celebrate it. :)

In other news, I'm sitting here, thinking about gaming. Because it's fun and stuff. Mostly, I'm realizing that not knowing the finer elements of MUSH procedure is causing me a few worries. Mostly that I don't know quite what I, as a player, am able to do to the world around me. I want to avoid causing mechanics nightmares, but, well, I would also enjoy doing the occassional Nifty Thing with an NPC, just to make something happen, if you get my drift. It just occurred to me, while in a scene, that wouldn't it be fun if there were a few pickpockets working the crowd, or even an NPC Soldier or something. Or two NPC Celestials using the crowd as cover to exchange something or another...

Arg. I need to do some GMing, again. The Need boils within me.

Still no car. No word about the car, either. I'm beginning to think that there /is/ no car. The mechanic simply took it home, cut it into pieces, and fed it to his family as extremely well-cooked stew. When he calls back, he'll return to me a facsimile of the car, actually made from dried beef. Thus do the aliens live among use without being detected.

*snug* Those would be neat. You ought to talk to a wizard (not me! ;) about that. :)

Good luck with the car. Hopefully you will not receive a Jerky Car when you get it back. Although you will have lunch for a long time, if you do.

As probably one of the more knowledgeable MUSHcode gurus on your friends list, I'll say that as a player, there's not a whole lot you can do to comprimise MUSH security or stability. There are some things that may make the game lag, but they usually involve recursive loops or excessive function calls that finish out with output flushes or invocation limits being exceeded. That aside, a simple puppet (from the sounds of it, that's what you're shooting for) shouldn't be at all a harm. Player imposed rules and mechanics may be an issue there, though.

I know, all too well, that GMing Need. There's hope, though. Some small bit of hope...
