Never, ever say to yourself 'just a quick, little scene'.

On Brass and Steel (the In Nomine MUSH I play on), a quick, little scene of teaching someone to skateboard, and then meeting and greeting a new player, turned into a massive, nasty, big-time deal. Fun, mind you, but very, very serious. And huge. I'm still in it, as it happens.

Several powerful demons versus one neonate angel and a soldier.

In a very public place.

One completely and utterly unaware human with no reason to trust either side.

With a video recorder.

Subtle? What is this word you use? What does it mean?
...that's what LiveJournal is clearly going to be. I don't know how to do the cute little icons, cuts, or make the little links to other people's LJs. I'll figure it out. Later. I'm tired.

In other news, my car is still in the shop. Dead transmission. I'm getting a very good deal on getting it rebuilt, but boy oh boy, is it taking a while. I'm wondering if the mechanics have to go out into the wilds with spears, and hunt down a living car, slaying it in single combat, before returning to the garage triumphant, dragging their parts behind them?

Good Idea: Releasing the 1.10 patch for Diablo 2, even if only in an unsupported, single-player beta version.

Bad Idea: Doing so on the eve of my three-day committment to run Stuff for Brass and Steel. Grrr.

In other news, I think it'd be really amusing to see a coroner's report where the cause of death was listed as "Butterflies". Possibly adamantium-winged butterflies with mutant death rays. Or maybe just stepping on a bunch of them at the wrong time and falling down stairs. I'm not picky.
