Ooooh. Just got another twist on my NaNoWriMo idea. I was having trouble thinking about how to really draw the protagonist into the plot, aside from native curiosity. Which, while it works, I suppose, I just came up with a really intriguing idea that makes the problem a lot more personal to the protagonist.

Okay, so it gets more sketchy towards the end, but that's because there are several points of decision that I'm not entirely sure /how/ the characters are going to decide, and the plot could change by quite a bit depending on how it goes. I'm not sure how great the idea is, really...I know that it's been done in some manner or another a hundred times before. But I can feel the characters inside my head, and I'm feeling pretty good about it.
