Hmm.

It looks like In Nomine Arcadia is dying. But I'd like to get into some sort of RP that can be done at odd times, not sessions, and doesn't require the massive time committment of getting deeply involved in a MUSH. A journal game would certainly seem to fit, but I'm not big on Harry Potter games, except perhaps an all OC game. *shrugs*

So, I'm thinking about making my own, probably In Nomine, journal game over at GreatestJournal. If I did, it would probably be about ten player slots, once a week posting, and with everyone in the same area, probably as the chief Aware population of a city. I might get all self-reverential and use Columbia, SC, since about ten celestials/soldiers/etc would be about the /entire/ celestial population, and I know it well enough that I could whip up a couple of Tethers. Right offhand, I certainly see a Factions Tether (the Confederate Flag on the State House grounds) and a Children Tether (EdVenture, the children's museum). And actually, for a town Columbia's size, that might be all it has, although it's tempting to give a Five Points bar to Lust or Gluttony.

But, anyway, if I started soliciting for starting PC level characters, would anyone be interested? These would be my requirements:

* No Geases as starting Discord, except for angels (Geases held by demons, of course), who shouldn't have any other kinds of Discord. Demons may have up to four levels for starting points.

* No ISTs other than Creationers and Free Lilim working off a Geas. Or characters who have an 'immediate superior' within a Word. (Such as being an immediate subordinate angel of Animals assigned to the Angel of Birds).

* To start out with, no alts. It's too much hassle when one person has to take a hiatus, and suddenly two or three characters can't be interacted with. One character per person. If you absolutely need to play more than one, ask other players if they need a supporting NPC of some sort (a Servant, an 'apprentice', or a friend who isn't in the city).

* A given character's interaction should not be dependent on a single other character. Related characters are fine, as long as they both have reason and ability to operate independently, even in the case of one character leaving the game.

* Soldiers, Undead, Saints, and Sorcerers okay. Independent or White Sorcerers are unlikely, especially since the character will be interacting exclusively with people who all want to kill them, just on general principles.

* The application will ask, once I work it out, for a short-term goal and a long-term goal for characters. I'd like for this to be a character-driven, plot-oriented game, so having personal goals for the characters will help me work out plots.

So, for players who might be interested in playing an IN journal game, would something like this interest you? If not, what other things would you like to see?
