Actually still considering that IN Journal game. Something about setting it in Columbia is really appealing to me. Here's some background information on my small, southern city, and some things I'm thinking of doing with it. Feedback is appreciated, /especially/ if you're interested in playing.

Stuff about IN Columbia )

I'll probably add more stuff later, but that gives a good rundown of the really significant places in Columbia, and my interpretation of them in IN terms. As you can see, there's room for a wide variety of character concepts and factions. If possible, I'd like to get characters that will run into each other and have to deal with each other (one way or another) in the course of the game. I'd also like potential characters to have both short-term and long-term goals, so that everyone has something they're shooting for to drive RP.

So.

I was thinking as I walked home from work.

You could have saber-toothed penises.

Except that the only mouth-like structure is generally the urethra, which means you'd have them mostly sticking up and out, instead of curving down. So it'd be more like saber-toothed-antennaed penises. I wonder if you could get them to wiggle? Because that would be kinda cute. Or possibly, just go for saber-tooth barbs, but the cats have already beat us to that.

Actually, the cats already beat us to regular saber-toothed things.

Damn the cats.

Now, you see.

Mammon is /very/ pleased. Woman Sues Over Cookie Gift

(For those of you who don't want to click the link, two teenaged girls baked homemade cookies and left them as gifts on people's doorsteps in the neighborhood. One woman freaked out about 'shadowy figures' in her yard, left the house to spend the night at her sister's house, and then went to the hospital the next day because she still felt 'shaky'. And then sued the two girls for medical bills. And won. Punishing charity and rewarding greed all at the same time. Yay.)
