I'm beginning to think that man is doing this on purpose.

I've ranted about him before, the bane of my working existance. So. Anyway, last time I tried to hook the director's computer into the network, I discovered that the computer had been locked to administrator access, and that I hadn't been given that password. I sent in a work order for the password, and it wasn't replied to until I'd gone home for the holiday weekend, and that was just to say the order had been completed. Well. Okay. So maybe they went ahead and connected it to the network, and my life is easier, I figured.

Not so. Instead, they created a personal login for the director, so that she could get into her computer, but they didn't join the computer to our office domain, so she couldn't access any of our folders, and our office administrator account can't login to the computer. And since I STILL don't have the password to the machine administrator account, I can't do a damn thing about it. Except request the password again.

And then I discovered that when they put the server back together, they neglected to hook the CD drive up again, so I can't make backup CDs, without calling them down here again.

I had a nightmare about this guy last night. Now I know why.

EDIT: Bugger me. He cancelled my workorder.
Southern Cross is a go! I just got the ORC in, today, signed by SJ, even, and with a note! Allow me to go fangirl-squee. SQUEE!

Anyway. Those who have already been accepted, the game info will be updated today, and a formal post signalling the start of the game should go up this evening. I'll also be announcing in [livejournal.com profile] innomine and I imagine it will go up on the ORC page, so we may get a few new applications.

Also, anyone who /wants/ to apply, but has not yet done so, please get your applications to me as soon as possible! I will be capping the game at 10-12 to start out with, and I won't 'hold' spots for someone, because it wouldn't be fair. :)

Also, the day got SO MUCH BETTER after I got out of work, and away from the evil Tech Support Man. The new director is being infected, saying things like, "Well, if we need you involved, I'll let you know." and so forth, about things that are my duties. It is unhappy-making. But, I love my professor, the class is going to rock, I have fic ideas, I have a research idea that has NOTHING to do with my area of study (but is ohsotempting), and so forth.

Bwee!
