A-maze-ing.
Out of nowhere, a friend from high school e-mails me this morning. One of my old gaming group, and definitely one of my better friend. However, I am not at all surprised that they only thought to do so after yet another of their relationships ended badly. I'm enthusiastic to see them, certainly, but I hope this doesn't end like the other times...they cry on my shoulder, I listen sympathetically, we do some things, start having fun, they find another relationship, and forget I exist until the next time they're heartbroken.
Ah, well. We'll see what happens.
