Upgrading my graphics card is turning into, essentially 'get another computer'. My current motherboard does not have a PCI Express slot, which is what the graphics card I need requires to run the game I want to run. So, bought card, bought motherboard, bought processor (because why the hell not, if I'm getting a new motherboard), and bought power supply. Came home.
...turns out that my RAM is not DDR-2 as I thought it was, but just plain DDR. So, will have to buy new RAM before I can install the motherboard. And, of course, the stupid Dell case has the powersupply apparently locked away from human hands, beneath a steel frame that I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to get into. Anyway, the space is too small for my new power supply anyway, so I'm looking at a new case, as well.
OY.
