Well, it's still up!

And I'd like to get some IN RP goodness going, but there's no one really on. So!

When one has no playerbase, one creates one!

Actually, since there's nearly no one on, I'd like to get a group together to create characters who already have 'hooks' with one another, to stimulate play. Not everyone has hooks with /everybody/ else, but areas where conflict or collusion is likely to happen.

Also, I've been really interested in playing Soldier conflicts for a while. Anyone interested in apping a bunch of Hellsworn/Undead and Soldiers of God? If we could get even three or four on each side, under service of different Superiors, or under the same Superior, then we could have a good running conflict/interaction, /and/ have groups large enough to challenge a celestial player. It would be something different and fun, I think, and being a MU, it doesn't require the strict scheduling of other online games.

Any way, if you're interested in apping a related character, comment here and we can fiddle?

Hey, cool! Heaven, or Hell? I wanna keep track of what people lean towards, so that we can see if we can make two opposing groups, or one big group. :D

Hadn't decided yet. Might take the concept of either Nicole or Marcus' Servant and run with it, but both look interesting.

Yes, recently resurrected as I try and figure out a way to balance being in school and helping to run a mush again. (Though albeit beside the two of us we've got a distinct lack of staff).

innominemush.com 1661 for anyone interested. No old characters have been nuked as of yet.

My time == extremely limited, but ... mmm, IN.

I could come up with something! Possibly Soldier of God, since I tend to play Hellside usually.

Excellent! Time is always an issue, of course, but at least MU*s are a /little/ more forgiving of that.

I don't know about time and all, or if S&S is my style, but I do have a Hellsworn floating around somewhere who might need a little mayhem in his life...

I have a lingering character on there, who got to be in one scene, ever. By the time I joined it was pretty quiet, and eventually I stopped checking up on the place. I'd be up for a new character, though. I have a Saint of the Wind sitting around somewhere, an idea for a Hellsworn... Never really had a chance to try a MUSH-style game.

From: [identity profile] pyrephox.livejournal.com

Based on what people have mentioned, there've been about six, now seven, people indicating interest, with an /about/ even split. So either one should be cool!

Keeeen. I assume only one character's allowed per player at a time, for the game? I'm going to need a walkthrough on character creation again...

From: [identity profile] pyrephox.livejournal.com

I think alts are allowed, actually. [livejournal.com profile] tyrr can likely comment more accurately, but I'm sure I remembered seeing alts on there!

From: [identity profile] fadethecat.livejournal.com

I'm not sure I'd be able to do anything interesting with Charm anyway, but that's good to know, if it's a pain to delete the old character.

From: [identity profile] tsayadim.livejournal.com

(Tsayadim, not Tyrr anymore. :D ) And yes, alts are allowed. There really isn't an enforced limit, its however many you feel you can keep around and active.

From: [identity profile] pyrephox.livejournal.com

DOH!

And, of course, all I had to do was look up half a screen. Mea maxima culpa!

From: [identity profile] cpip.livejournal.com

I know better than to commit. I'll make it to one scene and then vanish, because I just don't have the time for that sort of thing anymore.

From: [identity profile] pyrephox.livejournal.com

*scritches* Understandable! I am tempted to tempt you further, but if ya don't got th' time, you don't got th' time. RL always comes first. :)

From: [identity profile] multiplexer.livejournal.com

There's absolutely no way I can MUSH anymore. But I might come on and idle on the channels!

From: [identity profile] radlilim.livejournal.com

Not sure if I have time either, but can I get more info? Never heard of this game before.

It's a MU*, a text-based multiplayer environment...sort of like a series of connected chat rooms which have IC locations that different people can interact with their characters with.

To log on, you'd need telnet, or (preferably) a telnet client, like SimpleMU. (Google for SimpleMU, and it should take you there. The client is free to download). The address is: innominemush.com 1661

I'd be interested in playing a Soldier of God, but I don't have the Corporeal Player's Guide. Would that be a problem? Also, um, what kind of game is a MU?

From: [identity profile] pyrephox.livejournal.com

I'd be happy to help out with anything you need from the CPG. :) It's not as vital for a Soldier of God as it is for Undead or Sorcerers, so you should be fine.

A MU* is a multi-user text based environment. Think of it as a series of connected chat rooms, all of which are 'desced', or described, to look like various IC and OOC locations. You have character objects with their own descriptions and sheets that you place in the rooms, and pose IC actions, paragraph style. So, for example, you might have a room that represents the interior of a museum, and two characters, Joe and Mary:

Museum -- Exhibit Hall A

This hall of the museum contains the Egyptian and Middle Eastern exhibits. Plexiglass display cases hold Muslim and Egyptian artifacts and writings, while roped off areas guard larger pieces from the hands of the patrons. Several security guards make their rounds while the museum is open, ensuring that people stay in the public areas.

Contents:
Joe
Mary

Joe stands near a sarcophagous, studying the markings with a feigned interest. His hands are loosely clasped behind his back, and he keeps checking the entrances, as if waiting for someone.

Mary rushes through the crowds, jostling several people without so much as a by your leave. Ignoring the complaints that rise behind her, she eventually makes her way over to where Joe is standing, and comes to a halt, panting. "Sorry about the delay, Joe. Traffic was Hell...and I mean that literally." She winks.

Thanks, that sounds straightforward enough. I'll have to make sure my parents will let me use their computer for this when I stay over this summer, but if so I'll apply. (...I've never actually _been_ in a chatroom, but I'm otherwise computer literate, so I'm sure I'll figure it out.)

As much as I would love to RP again, Soldiers aren't my thing and I have 2 chars on Denver playing WoD, one I should be playing on an Anitaverse place, and trying to resist a Firefly place :P

Oh man. So tempted.

I'm already on three different MU*s, playing about ten different characters, plus I have work and tabletop gaming and...and...

...but...but In Nomine!! *wibble*

I think this actually might be the same MUSH I very nearly joined a while back. I had a great idea for a Djinn of Dark Humor that I wanted to play, since I've never played a Djinn before. But I never finished character creation, because I'm a doofus.

Soldier, you say? Hmmmmmmmm. *chinstrokes* Also something I've never played before. Either side would be fine with me...provided I can somehow manage to find the time to commit to RPing. X)
