In Nomine: Symphony and Silence

Well, it's still up!

And I'd like to get some IN RP goodness going, but there's no one really on. So!

When one has no playerbase, one creates one!

Actually, since there's nearly no one on, I'd like to get a group together to create characters who already have 'hooks' with one another, to stimulate play. Not everyone has hooks with /everybody/ else, but areas where conflict or collusion is likely to happen.

Also, I've been really interested in playing Soldier conflicts for a while. Anyone interested in apping a bunch of Hellsworn/Undead and Soldiers of God? If we could get even three or four on each side, under service of different Superiors, or under the same Superior, then we could have a good running conflict/interaction, /and/ have groups large enough to challenge a celestial player. It would be something different and fun, I think, and being a MU, it doesn't require the strict scheduling of other online games.

Any way, if you're interested in apping a related character, comment here and we can fiddle?

I'd be interested in playing a Soldier of God, but I don't have the Corporeal Player's Guide. Would that be a problem? Also, um, what kind of game is a MU?

I'd be happy to help out with anything you need from the CPG. :) It's not as vital for a Soldier of God as it is for Undead or Sorcerers, so you should be fine.

A MU* is a multi-user text based environment. Think of it as a series of connected chat rooms, all of which are 'desced', or described, to look like various IC and OOC locations. You have character objects with their own descriptions and sheets that you place in the rooms, and pose IC actions, paragraph style. So, for example, you might have a room that represents the interior of a museum, and two characters, Joe and Mary:

Museum -- Exhibit Hall A

This hall of the museum contains the Egyptian and Middle Eastern exhibits. Plexiglass display cases hold Muslim and Egyptian artifacts and writings, while roped off areas guard larger pieces from the hands of the patrons. Several security guards make their rounds while the museum is open, ensuring that people stay in the public areas.

Contents:
Joe
Mary

Joe stands near a sarcophagous, studying the markings with a feigned interest. His hands are loosely clasped behind his back, and he keeps checking the entrances, as if waiting for someone.

Mary rushes through the crowds, jostling several people without so much as a by your leave. Ignoring the complaints that rise behind her, she eventually makes her way over to where Joe is standing, and comes to a halt, panting. "Sorry about the delay, Joe. Traffic was Hell...and I mean that literally." She winks.

Thanks, that sounds straightforward enough. I'll have to make sure my parents will let me use their computer for this when I stay over this summer, but if so I'll apply. (...I've never actually _been_ in a chatroom, but I'm otherwise computer literate, so I'm sure I'll figure it out.)
