I must see this movie.

Not because of Superman, one of my least favorite superheroes, or because of the plot, because I can't tell what that is, right now. Certainly not for Lois Lane, one of the original damsels in distress.

But it has Kevin Spacey. Bald. As Luthor.

I may just melt into a little puddle of female happiness at the thought.

I knew that Kevin Spacey was a heck of an actor, but I had no idea that he was meltworthy. I don't think I'll ever figure out what women think is good-looking.

I have slightly different tastes than many women. I love Kevin Spacey because of the set of his face...there's something about the way it's constructed that makes him look /amused/ all the time, which goes to my 'good sense of humor' button, and I like that in a guy. He's also got a nice voice, and moves with a lot of energy. All things that I find attractive.

Also, bald. I have a Thing for bald guys. >_> <_<

My thoughts exactly... though I wouldn't call Louis one of the ORIGINAL damsels in distress... given that the archetype can be found in ancient mythologies.

I'm not a Superman fan at all either, but (post-crisis) Lex is one of the most fascinating villains... at least when done right, which of course he will be with Spacey :)

I want to see this movie because Superman's costume actually looks decent, and not like some twit in neon blue pajamas. :D

Eh. The costume I'm neutral on, and the kid playing Clark is just...yet another pretty boy, with the addition of way too much gel to make that cowlick.

Check out Trailer 2 if you've not seen it yet. You'll be happy. I absolutely love the way they're playing Luthor in this film.

I have! Which is good, because the first trailer was kind of massively stupid. :P

I didn't think it was stupid so much as heavily laying on the similarities between Superman and Christ. I always liked Brando's voice as Jor-El and the audio clip they used was almost directly from the original movie (with a few unused lines from the original to boot).

I can't help but be the DC comics fan that I am when I look at it and just giggle with giddy anticipation.

Ahhh, see, I'm not a big DC or Superman fan. :D I liked the previous movies okay, good for popcorn-munching, but nothing about them really stood out for me.

Heh, I want to see it because I want to see the movie that got Cyclops killed :)

James Marsden plays Richard White, Perry White's son and Lois Lane's fella in the Superman interim. Mmmm, Jimmy.

The movie looks kick-ass, though, and I love Spacey as Luthor.
