AH HA!

After years of half-hearted searching, I have finally found that which I seek. You see, when I was younger, we lived in a trailer park. Behind one of the lots was this spindly little tree. It was a nice tree. Even nicer, it produced blackberries!

...no, they weren't blackberries. But I was about eight at the time, and they /looked/ like blackberries, and they /tasted/ like blackberries, and there were no thorns, so that was good enough for me. We ate well! But since I've gotten older, I've always wanted to know what the hell that tree was.

Now, thanks to the power of Google, I do know.

So thank you, Mister Black Mulberry tree, for yummy and entertaining times as a youngster.

Mmmm, mulberry trees. There was one in back of the school at one point in my scholastic stint.

So what were the thorn bushes of blackberry-like fruits in my backyard? We called them mulberries.

Thorn bushes filled with blackberry-like fruit may be actual blackberries?

Oh, cool. Are they small? I went search for blackberry pictures, and they looked awfully big.
