Bleh.

Transcribing is so damned boring. BLEH. What's worse is that I'm pretty good at it, too, so it's not even thinking-required, but at the same time, I can't do something else and do this at the same time.

EDIT: DAMN IT, MAN! YOU STOPPED ASKING QUESTIONS THREE PAGES AGO! Why are you still TALKING? Why are you still RECORDING? ARGH!

Also, for NWN players, 'Runes of Blood' is a REALLY good module. It's a fullbodied campaign, that goes from level 3 to, I think, 14, has TONS of side-quests, options for good /and/ evil characters, some romance options, treasure troves that specialize to your class and alignment, and a rich, interesting world with adequate, if not brilliant, NPCs. I recommend it highly if you want an adventure that's got a whole lotta meat.

And yay, I don't have to dress up for the meeting tomorrow. Life has become better.

I just loaded up the 3rd main quest, Hordes of the Underdark. I've only put a couple of hours into it but, so far, I say "blech."

It's a cheesefest, if you like those, and they made more of an effort with it than they did with the original modules, that's for sure. But it's still not very deep or interesting.

Ditch it for Runes of Blood! :D

The main quests done by the Bioware folks are total crap. I can't believe it's the same company that did Planescape: Torment, or the Baldur's Gate series.

SoU/HotU are better than the original base campaign, but that's NOT saying much at all.

Fortunately, there are better writers out there.

Sad, but true. Especially for the first campaign, the writers were just phoning it in. Not to mention substandard stuff like single-henchman only, not being able to tweak your hench's inventory or interact with them outside of a couple of very constricted subquests, etc. Which is sad, because the IDEA of the campaign was a good one...you could have gotten some dynamite subquests out of the plague-city, and secret cults, and so forth.

I was looking at some of the NWN2 previews and I was heartened to hear that some of the staff of Torment was involved in the storyline. I hold out hope!
