Ooo. Got the sound card to work! turns out that it, too, was incorrectly installed. Had to yank it out, and stick it back in the right way. And then...I cleaned my room!

Actually, I'm still in the process of cleaning. The junk in here was immense and massive, acquired over several years of just putting it off. Mostly dust, boxes from when we moved in, BOOKS (there are still piles of books on the floor, because I just don't have any /space/ for them, even with four bookcases), scarily unlabeled tapes and cds, and paperwork. Old school assignments, college forms, and I actually found a report card from high school in the junk.

...which reminded me of why I probably tossed into the nearest pile of paper in the first place. I was not a good student in HS. Nope.

I still have a fair amount to do, the area near my bed, the tops of drawers and bookcases, and I need to vacumn the floor, and put up some pictures. Despite this, it looks pretty good. Not great, yet, but pretty good.

I feel good!

Four bookcases isn't that much; I have eleven, and I'm still running out of room.

I only have one room in which to /put/ my bookcases, however. :) With all the other furniture, eleven wouldn't fit.

Hey, I've got some of mine stacked on each other or other furniture. A 2-foot wide 3-shelf bookcase fits on top of the average highboy dresser.

I live in a converted attic room. Slanted roof, so one whole side has only limited (about five foot) clearance, and the other side is shorter than average. It's a /big/ room, just...strangely formed.

Sort of like myself. :p

When you're done, want a commission to tackle my office? ;)
