Brass and Steel is closing down.
Well, for the most part, I'm sad. We had a great bunch of players, good, fun characters, and I think that for the most part, we got along and had fun. I will certainly miss the place.
On the other hand, it'll be a bit of a relief to retire Harriet. I've never played any character that long, on a continuous basis, before. And I was getting...not bored, but /frustrated/. Looking back over her career as a character, there was very little that she accomplished. She was allowed to live mostly on sufferance, and I don't like that feeling. She was labelled a 'professional victim', and damn it, I didn't like that, either. Unfortunately, there's not much that I can point to to refute it, either. At times she felt exactly like a professional victim, and I really, really disliked it.
And now I'm probably whining. :P Ah, well. It was fun, truly it was. And there are new projects on the horizon to look forward to, either. I'm going to retire the character journal, too. She was reluctant to really write her thoughts out, anyway, and her player wasn't all that enamored with the idea, either.
