After three of us sat in silence through the credits, my roommate finally turned to me and said, "I take it by your reaction that you liked the movie."
I replied, "I don't think it's a matter of like. I think my like is irrelevant to this movie."
The phrase "national epic" came to mind. No superhero movie has ever been half that good, including Batman Begins.
I think I agree. It was not a /happy/ film by any means, but oh did I love it. And I freely admit I almost cried at the little chat about fairness in the hospital (stepping around spoilers). Damn it all.
