GOOSE!

A happy post, for once.

Today, there was a very confused goose of the Canadian variety who landed squarely in the middle of the road. Luckily, we have a turning lane in front of the school. But the goose, its head outstretched, just waddled up and down the middle of the road, honking and looking piteous. Sad goose on pavement.

Eventually, of course, people notice. Which means that our resource officer got out there, along with a passerby, and two (TWO) police patrol cars, which stopped traffic in both directions as the designated herders moved the goose out of the road and onto the school grounds. It was easily herded. It could even fly, apparently. Just not for long distances. But it waddled into safety.

Thus ends our excitement for the day.

Canada variety, not Canadian variety.

Sounds like a goose waiting to be cooked.

Sadly, I think it's hanging out on the school roof, at last checking.
