I was cruelly asked five questions by Melpomenes_mask (okay, I volunteered), and must now answer or be struck down by the wrath of God. If you're up for the same fun torment, just leave a comment in my journal, and I'll ask /you/ five questions, which you answer in your LJ. And thus, the circle of meme turns ever on.

1: What's your favorite RP scene that you've ever participated in, as GM, PC, or NPC? The best RP scene? The least expected?

My favorite? I have a lot of scenes that I really enjoyed. As a player, I think it may have been the Harriet/Zach/Lucian/Cosmo scene on B&S where Everything Came Out. That just rocked. :) As a GM, I think it was when I was running a BESM geriatric superheroes campaign with my RL group, and the PCs took on the corrupted younger superheroes in a battle royale. It was a lot of fun, and there was some excellent RP in it.

The least expected? I don't know. I don't really have a lot expectations. I guess it may have been a Harriet/Jack scene (which was also quite fun), where the intention had been for a little unconscious interrogation, but ended in an Ethereal battle and an interesting bit of plot.

2: Why "Pyrephox"?

In Neal Stephenson's 'The Diamond Age', there's a bit character, a hacker, who gets brutally tortured to death over about three pages, and then is never mentioned again. His name is Phyrephox. When making my AOL screenname, I figured that 'Phyrephox' would already be taken, and the 'h' looked silly, anyway.

3: Cast yourself in IN terms. What are you and why? (Noncanon Superiors allowed as long as they're recognizable, a la me being a Nitpicking Habbie and an Archives Bright. ^^) How about on the other side?

Hmm. Probably a Djinn of the Media. I'm quite certain about Djinn, at least, but less so about the Word. I tend towards the obssessive, but my obsessions change without warning, and a lot of times I'm content just to watch, rather than act. And most of my interests are Media related, if you count books. On the other side, I'd probably be a Cherub of Dreams, I think. On my better days, anyway. ;)

4: What were the last three movies you watched? What did you think? If you could change one thing in each, what would it be?

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Finding Nemo, and Gothika. I liked them all very much. But, it should be mentioned, I'm /very/ easy to please when it comes to movies. I don't ask for much from my popular entertainment. For the League, I'd probably change the Dorian Gray picture to more closely reflect the actual story. Finding Nemo...I'd let the other fish escape from the tank, too (trying to be vague as not to spoil people). Gothika, I'd change the ending to something a bit more, well, correct.

5: You get use of a teleporter for 24 hours. It works perfectly and transports instantaneously; the only problem is, if you transport another person along with yourself, it halves your remaining time using the teleporter. (And the cap is "two people including yourself at a time".) How do you spend your day(-or-less)?

Visit those friends that live out of the country, or not within reasonable driving distance, then visit Tokyo, Venice, London, Rio, San Francisco, Portland, and any place else that comes to mind with what time I have remaining.

Oh, hit me, beat me, abuse me.

Oh, yeah, and ask me 5 questions, too... ;)

Re:

1. Poof, you /are/ a superhero! What's your superhero name and battle cry (or catchphrase)?

2. What IN Superior, if any, do you think you'd be happiest and best at working for, if the opportunity were offered?

3. How did you get started working with the birdies?

4. What songs do you really like, but haven't heard in a while?

5. Poof! You're a book. Where do they put you in the bookstore, and why?
