Wheee! Tonight, I got a ICQ message from a friend. Another friend, M., the one I was staying in Tennessee with, who just moved to Texas, who I did not think would make it to another, mutual, friend's wedding, actually /was/ going to be able to make it. Yay! Of course, he needs both a ride to the wedding and a place to crash on Friday night...less yay. Oh, the crash space is no problem, but I still don't know if /I'm/ going to have a ride. But eh. We'll figure something out.

Wedding blues...the second of my high-school friends to get married. It makes me wistful, despite the fact that I don't /want/ to get married right now. It also makes me frantic. The wedding's on Saturday, I don't have a car, I haven't been able to get where I need to go to get the rassem frassem gift, I don't have directions and the groom's website is broken, and I'm now responsible for getting my friend there, as well. Deep breaths, Amber, deep breaths. Right.

And I feel the urge to GM In Nomine. I have no players, no time, and no transportation, but...the urge is there. Gnawing. Feh, I say. Feh.

Out of curiosity, on the GMing end of things, have you considered running an online one-shot or two? I mean, archangelbeth and harukami, among others, run campaigns with a set number of players online regularly, and those are a lot of fun...

(You could probably find people on B&S or the INML, if nowhere else, who'd be interested; location is a bit harder, but irc.sayuri.ca is a fairly open IRC server if you don't have one you frequent, or you could probably find a side-'room' in a MU*, or something similar. [grins] And most of the people I know say that online 'standardized' campaigns are as fun as or more so than offline ones. And they're usually easier to get people for and schedule...)

*grins* I've considered it. The biggest obstacle is time, however. I'm in four games (three online, one RL), and about to join another one. The idea of trying to fit another one in, even if it soothes my GMing itch, makes me cringe and cry for various parental figures. :P

Mostly, I just felt the need kvetch. And I do so more, since I still have no car!
