You see...

...there's a thing. And it's a shiny thing, although the light it sheds can only be seen at certain times of the day. And it's deep and strong and scary, but it doesn't do anything at all. It's just a thing, and that's enough.

It's a thing kind of like love, if love came in a can. Except not like that at all. Almost.
