First, do not ever try to put food on my plate without asking me. I don't give a good goddamn if you picked up too much for yourself, /I/ did not, and I don't want yours. Second, stop asking me if I want more over and over and over again. It really pisses me off. I'm already overweight, thanks, and I'm not dieting, but I don't eat any more than I /want/ to eat. So stop it.

I HATE THAT! My grandmother used to do that to me all the time. "Here Jennifer, have my leftover eggs." *as she's scraping them onto my plate* I finally had to be rude and say, "Grandma! Ask first! Then give!"

And my mom does the same thing with asking about food. I believe I mentioned before about the I-swear-to-god pile of munchies she left Chris and I when we were gaming and they were going to be out of the house for maybe two hours?

*hugs*

Yes, my grandparents are the main culprits, I fear. That, and the Guilt Trip: "Oh, well, I can understand if you don't want seconds. It wasn't that good anyway. You were a dear to eat any of this poor food, I know it must have been a trial."

RARGH!

Oiy, other people are not one's "waste not" garbage disposals! (That's what cats are for!)

Consider telling them that you're on a diet, so they'll not bug you about it?
("What diet?" "The 'Don't Eat Other People's Food' diet. If it came from someone else's plate, I don't eat it.")

Exactly.

Heh. Telling them I was on a diet would be even worse. They're convinced that I'm going to 'blow away with the next wind' at any moment. This is most emphatically not the case. :P

Hm! Develop an overwhelming aversion to Other People's Germs? (I had one of those from early on, which I've only overcome as regards my kid's germs...) Cite how many nasty bacteria live in the human mouth?
