Been up for twenty-eight hours and counting, thanks to an especially illtimed bout of insomnia. Finished two books: "Joust" by Mercedes Lackey, and "Crawlers" by John Shirley. Joust was good. The lines between good and evil were a bit more blurred, aside from the mandatory child abuser who was thankfully done away with early in the story. There were no sadistic pederasts, the main character had a good relationship with his family, and the Mary Sue factor was way, way down. I recommend it.
Crawlers was Vapula's wet dream, in book form. I am seriously tempted to rip off the whole damn book for an IN adventure or two, but will restrain myself. If you like horror books, and are not easily grossed out, I recommend it highly.
And I have a headache from not enough sleep. I should toddle off to bed. G'night.

... Stephen King's Insomnia. DT/IN. Think about it. ^_^ (I have vague rambling ideas about how to mechanic it, but since you're doing the writeup... [grins])
