INSC seems to be off to a good start. Need more demons, but the angelic apps I've gotten have just been so fun that I can't resist approving them. Perhaps we'll get a few more to round out the game. Or, if not, I may open up a couple of demon/Hellsworn-only slots even after we reach eleven players.

School is likewise off to a good start. I am enjoying my class, and I adore my professor beyond all reason. She is just so very, very neat. And funny! She tells stories, and she's just so very enthusiastic and engaging. I want to be like her when I grow up! :D It's going to be a lot of work, though. But the class is so interesting, I just don't mind.

On more personal notes, I'm feeling rather down, and kind of lonely. But there's not much that I can do about that, so it's largely ignored. Besides, I have Morrowind, which helps with all manner of loneliness. (I hate warhammers. Why, oh why, must they hit me with war hammers?)

MORROWIND!
*poings*

Yes, warhammers are evil things. Knock you flat they do.
But then again if you are the one with the warhammer... >:D
*wack* "And stay down!" *whack*

You do realize of course that ths post of yours is going to cause [livejournal.com profile] soaringdragon42 to disappear for the rest of the day into the land of Verdenfall don't you? ^_^

Might even make me fire it up when I get home, nothing like spending a realxing eavning swimming around killing Drugh and diving for pearls.

I can't wait till Oblivion comes out.

I am a happy Mage-Knight, with longsword, heavy armor, and Destruction magic. I am also busily creating more and more alchemy. I need to learn how to taunt people, though. I can't seem to get those 'bad people' in Balmora to attack me, and when I attack them, I get owned /and/ pulled up on murder charges. It is frustrating!

From: [identity profile] the-fool76.livejournal.com

Heh yea that group is a pain.
I tend to wack the guy on top first, then go down and just attack the ones below and then run up top and stand on the table. They seem to only be able to get at you one at a time up there. Summon a nice daedric weapon and wack heads chuging potions as needed. (The other way I've don it is via shelling out a pile of money for a really EVIL aoe poision enchantment on an amulet. Didn't do a lot of damage per tic but, had a long duration and huge area. Blast everoyne with the spell, go invisible, and wait for them to die. Of course that character had already sold a few glass items to the Scamp so I had the money to blow.)

As for the murder charges, a good chamelion or invisiblity potion helps out there. Once you get back to the Imperial Guard who gave you the mission he clears your name, so its just a matter of staying out of sight while you run to him. I find chamelion is more usefull for this since opening doors and the like doesn't break it.

From: [identity profile] pyrephox.livejournal.com

That Imperial Guard scares me. He's one of the best NPCs in the whole game (that I've met so far). His little story makes me fear him, so very, very much.

I'm only level 8 or 9 right now. I may leave the 'little bloodbath' back for a bit, and go beat up on bandits and ghosties. (Those Spectral Dwemers are a pain in the frickin' keister!)

The dude who scares ME is your House Hlaau sponser. o_O If you play female, he's.....ew.

From: [identity profile] pyrephox.livejournal.com

I haven't tried to join a House, yet. Mostly I've been running errands for the Mage and Fighter Guilds, for the bare-chested guy with the Blades (and why am /I/ his minion? This is unfair!), and ransacking tombs and caves.
soaringdragon42: (Default)

From: [personal profile] soaringdragon42

Houses are similar to the Guilds, but with "bigger" storylines. Hlaau focuses on thieves skills, Redoran on fighter, and Telvanni on mage.

Regardless, I tend to go for Hlaau. It may make it harder for me to advance if I'm not focusing on those skills, but they have the best location for your stronghold (Just outside Balmora, along the river, just up the hill from Hla Oad. Look, boat or silt strider home!)

Redoran stronghold is Northwest of Ald'ruhn and Southeast of Maar Gan, and the Telvanni is out in the middle of nowhere on the east coast, northish of the Erabenimsun Camp.

*dances* I KILLED THE BAD PEOPLE!

I had to use a couple of Big Nasty scrolls to take out that hammer-wielder before he could squash me into little bits, and then I smacked down the rest with little problems, and outran the guards to the Imperial Guard. Mmmm, nice ring. Very nice ring.

HUZZAH!

Veeery nice ring. ^_^ I loves that ring, I do!

*big snugs*

I owe you a demon. Perhaps I will blow off work this afternoon to get him to you.

Hey, if we can just convince a few angels to join the Right Side, that'll sort the balance out!

I have this concept for a Windy, who I would dearly love to play, but if you're really pushing demons, I could throw together a Secrets Calabite fairly fast.

From: [identity profile] pyrephox.livejournal.com

I want people to play what they'll have fun playing. :) If we end up with all angels but one or two, I'll work with that. I just have to adjust the NPC populations a bit. :)

Seriously, it's more likely that you'll get burned out or bored if you're not playing the character that you /want/ to play.

'kay. Shall app the Windy, then; he's outrageous and I really like playing him, so. *grins*

When you get lonely, call me! I have a cell phone! (And now I will answer the phone when you can, since I know that Denver, CO is you.)

From: [identity profile] pyrephox.livejournal.com

I don't think I have any minutes left on my calling cards! I'll have to look into getting one of those refreshed. Then, when you least expect...

...THE CALL! *dundunDUN*

From: [identity profile] amethystjade.livejournal.com

Aieeeeeeeee! Then it'll probably be from Pittsburgh or something.

Warhammers are EVIL!

Cept like TF said, if you're the one with them. ;)

But then, I'm playing a Kajit Theif who's maxed out her acrobatics and short swords at lvl 15 or so. >_>

Also, I agree with TF for the tactics on killing those dudes at the council club. Bonk the guy upstairs by the table from ON the table. And smack them with summoned daedric weapons. Then cameleon and possibly hover out, and you're good to go.

Or just mark the dude's office and recall once you're done with the blood bath. ;)

From: [identity profile] pyrephox.livejournal.com

I think next time I may play a thief. I'm eager to see what the sneak and security skills can actually /do/. (Although I'm finally starting to get my Security skill up...in the twenties. Okay, it sucks.)
soaringdragon42: (Default)

From: [personal profile] soaringdragon42

Security means you can pick a level 95 lock with an apprentice lock pick. I kid you not. I have two grandmaster picks that I've never used. I've only used my journeyman picks on the 100s, but I'm betting that once I get my skill into the 90s I won't even have to use those.

I need to get more probes though.

Sneak, is amusing, but only sometimes useful. If you're sneaking, you have a chance to crit (and one hit kill) whatever you're sneaking up on. I've only had that happen once or twice. If its high enough, pick pocket people while facing them. That's always amusing. Specially when I do it on accident.
soaringdragon42: (Default)

From: [personal profile] soaringdragon42

Get a lock spell. Doesn't have to be a very high one, lvl 10 lock would work.

Lock a box. Pick it. Lock it. Repeat till your fingers fall off. Look, your alteration and security went up!

From: [identity profile] the-fool76.livejournal.com

Or if you want to mix it up a bit, put the lock spell as an enchantment on an item. That way you can up your enchant skill as well as using enchanted items raises it a little bit.

If you catch the soul yourself, that could add mysticism into it too...

From: [identity profile] the-fool76.livejournal.com

Or you can use a soul trap on an enchanted item for even more enchanting benifit.

I love the sheer number of differnt ways you can play that game.
Now if only they could somehow shoehorn that kind of flexibility of character development into a MMORPG.

[snugs!]

(For what it's worth, my backup concepts for IN:SC are pretty much all demons right now, so if something happens to kill/incapacitate Jude or require him to move elsewhere, that'd be what I probably app in his place. [laughs] Not that I expect something like that to happen soon, but... [grins])

INSC is fun, though! And yaaaay school going well! [scritchies for down-ness, but yay Morrowind helping!]

Hi, I'm the new Kyro on IN:SC. Incase you want to see my journal ((where I like never post, so maybe never mind...))
