INSC and Stuff

INSC seems to be off to a good start. Need more demons, but the angelic apps I've gotten have just been so fun that I can't resist approving them. Perhaps we'll get a few more to round out the game. Or, if not, I may open up a couple of demon/Hellsworn-only slots even after we reach eleven players.

School is likewise off to a good start. I am enjoying my class, and I adore my professor beyond all reason. She is just so very, very neat. And funny! She tells stories, and she's just so very enthusiastic and engaging. I want to be like her when I grow up! :D It's going to be a lot of work, though. But the class is so interesting, I just don't mind.

On more personal notes, I'm feeling rather down, and kind of lonely. But there's not much that I can do about that, so it's largely ignored. Besides, I have Morrowind, which helps with all manner of loneliness. (I hate warhammers. Why, oh why, must they hit me with war hammers?)

I think next time I may play a thief. I'm eager to see what the sneak and security skills can actually /do/. (Although I'm finally starting to get my Security skill up...in the twenties. Okay, it sucks.)

Security means you can pick a level 95 lock with an apprentice lock pick. I kid you not. I have two grandmaster picks that I've never used. I've only used my journeyman picks on the 100s, but I'm betting that once I get my skill into the 90s I won't even have to use those.

I need to get more probes though.

Sneak, is amusing, but only sometimes useful. If you're sneaking, you have a chance to crit (and one hit kill) whatever you're sneaking up on. I've only had that happen once or twice. If its high enough, pick pocket people while facing them. That's always amusing. Specially when I do it on accident.

...I can't pick a level 50 lock with /any/ kind of lockpick. :D

Get a lock spell. Doesn't have to be a very high one, lvl 10 lock would work.

Lock a box. Pick it. Lock it. Repeat till your fingers fall off. Look, your alteration and security went up!

Or if you want to mix it up a bit, put the lock spell as an enchantment on an item. That way you can up your enchant skill as well as using enchanted items raises it a little bit.

If you catch the soul yourself, that could add mysticism into it too...

Or you can use a soul trap on an enchanted item for even more enchanting benifit.

I love the sheer number of differnt ways you can play that game.
Now if only they could somehow shoehorn that kind of flexibility of character development into a MMORPG.
