I'm reinstalling Baldur's Gate 2, and Throne of Bhaal with it. While not quite as entrancing as, say, Planescape: Torment, it's still a good, solid game, with a lot of interesting ideas. And some of the player-created mods out there are truly kickass. I'm just not entirely certain which ones I want to play.
There's a Redemption mod that looks interesting, both for the main bad being, and someone else. And lots, lots, lots of new NPCs with dialogue and romance options. Admittedly, I'm a sucker for nifty romances...and let's face it, being the powerful child of a god with a darkness in your soul which you get to exploit as much as you like...that's /entertainment/, folks. :P

As I thought it might, the show is starting to grow on me. I have always thought that King was at his best when he gets the opportunity to blend the supernatural with the mundane, and that's what we saw more of, here. There was less emphasis on 'look how kooky our characters are!' and more actual characterization. The plot is still moving slowly, but that's to be expected.
I'm still not overly enamored of Druse's actress. She has some of the most outre lines, and I don't feel that she delivers them quite...interestingly enough, I think. She has a sweet smile, though. I want to pat her on the head and give her a cookie.
We see that Antubis is Not Always a Nice Guy, and I'm pleased at it. (Also: Antubis = Anubis? It seems likely.) Stegman is wonderfully hateworthy...he's smug, condescending, and chalked to the brim with petty sadism. On the other hand, he's also one of the most 'normal' people in the show, and I found myself sympathising with the poor guy when he tried to have a rational conversation with his supervisor (who is only tangentally connected to reality).
The thing with the dogs is still jarring. I can see what he's trying to do, but it's still...eh. Not terribly impressed.
Dr. Hook remains, in my opinion, the strongest character in the series. And I'm not just saying that because he's got that cute geeky/weary thing going on, either. He just nails his lines on a regular basis, shortly followed by the three female doctors.
Overall, I liked it, and I look forward to the next one.
